1vyG is founded in 2014

1vyG started in a Brown University dorm room, where a group of first-generation college students from similar backgrounds came together to talk about their struggles adjusting to college. As they shared their experiences, they realized that their challenges were not isolated, but rather a symptom of a deeper, more systemic issue in the higher education system. Determined to create change and make the college experience better for future first-gen students, 1vyG was born.
