  • Viet Nguyen

    Executive Director

    Viet is involved in all areas of EdMobilizer. He is a Knight-Hennessy scholar, Fulbright scholar, and Forbes 30 Under 30 recipient in education. A trustee emeritus of the Board of Trustees at Brown University, the university’s highest governing body, Viet was the youngest person to be elected to the position in the history of the Corporation. While at Brown, Viet also served as the President of the undergraduate student body, representing 6,000+ students.

    Viet holds a BA from Brown University and an MBA from Stanford University. He began his career at the Bridgespan Group, a consultancy focused on non-profit advisory. He is currently pursuing an MPA at Harvard.

  • Joseph Vukel

    Director of Growth Strategy

    Joseph leads our business development, partnerships and strategic initiatives efforts. He began his career with the Private Equity Group of Ares Management, where he evaluated opportunistic, distressed and leveraged buyout investment opportunities. Today, he is with Owl Ventures, a $2.2B Silicon Valley-based investment platform providing venture and growth capital to edtech startups and other impact-oriented technology companies. Additionally, Joseph is a career coach with Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO), where he mentors students from underrepresented backgrounds who are hoping to break into Wall Street. He is also a Junior Board Member of SEO.

  • Myesha Jemison

    Director of Impact Initiatives

    Myesha leads our social impact and policy engagement efforts. She is a Gates Millennium scholar and a Gates Cambridge scholar. Myesha is a trustee emeritus of the Board of Trustees at Princeton University, the university’s highest governing body. While at Princeton, she was also elected as the first Black woman in Princeton’s history to be President of the undergraduate student body, representing 8,600+ students.

    Myesha holds a BA from Princeton and an MS from Columbia University. She is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Cambridge. Her current doctoral research examines the use of digital technologies in sub-Saharan Africa.

  • David Wilson

    Growth Strategy

    David is currently with the Private Equity Group of BlackRock. He began his career in the technology investment banking group at Evercore, where he advised Insight Partners on their $6.2B take-private of cybersecurity firm, Datto. He holds a BA from San Jose State.

  • Rosalia Ramirez

    Growth Strategy

    Rosalia is currently with the Private Equity Group of TPG, where she focuses on growth and impact investing and was involved in the firm’s investment in Presence Learning. She began her career with the consumer and retail investment banking group at Morgan Stanley. She holds a BA from Florida International.

  • Gabriel Reyes

    Impact Initiatives

    Gabe is pursuing a PhD in Developmental and Psychological Sciences at Stanford University as a Knight-Hennessy Scholar. He is the founder of FLi Sci, an education non-profit hoping to produce more diverse scientists from low-income backgrounds. He holds a BA from Brown University and is a Gates Millennium scholar.

  • Yesenia Ayala

    Impact Initiatives

    Yesenia is a program associate with WestEd, a San Francisco-based nonprofit which aims to build a more equitable society through research, development and service. She holds a BA from Grinnell College and an MA from Stanford University. She is a Knight-Hennessy scholar.

  • Jonathan Jaramillo

    Growth Strategy

    Jonathan is an engagement manager with ActionIQ and has held various roles in the past in strategic growth. He is passionate about the intersection between the private sector and social impact. He holds a BA from Brown University and began his career with Deloitte.

  • Josh Farris

    Growth Strategy

    Joshua is a public speaker on education. As an independent consultant, he leverages data and research to produce materials for stakeholders within higher education to influence programs for first-generation college students. He holds a BS from the University of Virginia.

  • Noah Elden

    Growth Strategy

    Noah is currently an Associate in J.P. Morgan’s Entertainment Industries Group, where he focuses on supporting, advising, and executing debt and equity financing for film and television production companies. He began his career at Capital One in the Tech, Media, Telecom group and holds a BS from Cornell University.
